A teenage boy gets chased and gun down in Rogers Park.

The 17-year-old who was allegedly hanging out by a Mobil gas station in Rogers Park on North Sheridan Road was gun downed early in the morning around 2am, according to the police and gas station clerk.

The assailant pulled out a gun and immediately started chasing after the boy who merely ran up the block to only receive multiple gun shot wounds.

The boy was shot in the face, abdomen, and arm, according to Chicago Fire Department spokesman Larry Merritt.

The boy was identified as Antonio Monteza, of the 1500 block of West Sherwin Avenue and only stayed merely a few blocks from where the shooting took place. He was pronounced dead at 3:26 a.m at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston.
