Brazilian police have captured Luiz Carlos da Rocha who eluded capture for over 30 years.
Luiz Carlos da Rocha also known as “White Head” is believed to be the leader of a immense cocaine organization in South America.
Federal charges filed against Rocha amount to over 50 years of prison time as stated by federal law enforcement.
Rocha was apprehended in Brazil, in the city of Sorriso in the western state of Mato Grosso, a police statement stated.
Rocha used extensive plastic surgeon to intentionally conceal his identity to elude capture while living under the false identity Vito Luiz de Moraes. Federal law enforcement agents began to compare photos and concluded the persons in question is the same.
His organization was known to be violent and to use armed escorts, heavy weapons, and bulletproof vehicles. The organization was known to produce cocaine in Colombia, Peru, and Bolivia before shipping through and intricate transportation system to USA and Europe.
It is estimated the organization produced close to 5 tonnes of cocaine each month.
