This year brings a couple of newcomers to Forbes top earning DJs.
Forbes has released this year top earning DJs and Calvin Harris still retains the #1 spot for 5 years in a row. The majority of DJs on the list are well known coveted performers that are usually listed on rosters at summer festivals. There are two new contenders added to the ranks, Marshmello and The Chainsmokers who snagged the #3 spot at $38 million. Altogether the star DJs brought in almost $300,000,000 collectively. Forbes calculates data to analyze gross figures accordingly:
Our rankings of the world’s highest-paid DJs take into account earnings from June 2016 through June 2017. Fees for agents, managers, and lawyers are not subtracted. We create our list with the help of data from Nielsen, Pollstar, Bandsintown, Songkick, as well as interviews with industry insiders and some of the DJs themselves.
